Each Mad City Labs nanopositioning stage is delivered with a factory-paired Nano-Drive controller. This ensures a calibrated system which is optimised for the chosen stage and other factors such as load and positioning speeds.

Nano-MET2

Ideal for applications in High-speed and High-resolution positioning, Metrology, AFM and SPM

The Nano-MET2 is an ultra-low noise, high-precision XY nanopositioning system with picometre positioning resolution. Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement under closed loop control. The ultra-low position noise (4 pm/Hz in XY and 400 fm/Hzv in Z) of these nanopositioning systems make them ideal for demanding metrology applications. Related products include the Nano-MET3, Nano-METZ, Nano-MET10 and Nano-MET20 nanopositioning systems.

Nano-HS

Ideal for applications in Precision Positioning, Metrology, AFM and SPM

The Nano-HS Series is a high-speed, multi-axis, precision nanopositioning system with picometre positioning resolution. Offering maximum versatility, the Nano-HS can be configured to provide XY or XYZ motion. Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement under closed loop control. The compact footprint, ultra-low noise characteristics, and a Z-axis resonant frequency of 5 kHz make it ideal for metrology applications that require noise floors less than 10 picometres and/or high speed performance.

Nano-M250

Ideal for applications in Alignment, Nanolithography, and Scanning Microscopy

The Nano-M250 is a compact two axis nanopositioning system constructed from titanium or Invar™. The small dimensions of the Nano-M250 allow it to be easily integrated into existing instrumentation for applications such as nanolithography and SEM. The 0.5" center aperture provides a convienent optical pathway or feedthrough for probe assemblies.
 
Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement with picometre accuracy under closed loop control.
 
The Nano-M250 is also available in high-vacuum and UHV compatible models.

Nano-Max50

Ideal for applications in Precision Cryostat Positioning, Low Temperature Optical Microscopy, and Quantum Dot Research

The Nano-Max50 is a heavy-duty, two axis nanopositioning stage designed to carry heavy experimental assemblies. With a load capacity of 5 kg, the Nano-Max50 can be used in applications such as precision positioning of cryostats for low temperature optical microscopy as the low profile and extra large aperture allows it to be integrated into existing optical microscopes.
 
Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement with picometre accuracy under closed loop control. Special Nano-Max systems can be built with ranges of motion that exceed the standard 50 microns.

Nano-H Series

Ideal for applications in Optical Microscopy and Trapping, AFM, and Fluorescence Imaging

The Nano-H Series is a compact two axis positioning stage that provides excellent positioning performance at an economical price. The large centre aperture makes the Nano-H Series ideal for applications requiring transmitted beams or the mounting of bulky components such as multiple fibres, optics, and metrology probes.
 
Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement and picometre accuracy when operated with the Nano-Drive® controller. The Nano-H Series is available in aluminium, Invar™ or titanium.

Nano-Bio

Ideal for applications in Optical Microscopy and Tweezing, Fluorescence Imaging, Closed-loop AFM Scanning, and Nanolithography

The Nano-Bio Series comprises ultra-low profile two axis nanopositioning systems that are designed to allow for easy integration into existing inverted microscopes, AFMs or other instruments where space is limited.
 
The standard models are constructed from aluminium with a large centre aperture to accommodate the lenses of all major microscope manufacturers. A special Invar™ model, the Nano-Bio2M, has better thermal stability along with a smaller footprint and is an easily implemented closed-loop scanner upgrade for instruments using Veeco NanoScope controllers (needs a Nano-Drive® controller with the AR-10 option).
 
The Nano-Bio Series includes internal position sensors with proprietary PicoQ® technology to provide absolute, repeatable position measurement and picometre accuracy under closed loop feedback control.
 
If your requirement is for a low-profile 3-axis stage, then the Nano-LP Series may offer the solution.

Nano-BioS

Ideal for applications in Optical Microscopy and Tweezers, Fluorescence Imaging, Closed-loop AFM Scanning, and Nanolithography

The Nano-BioS Series are ultra low profile two axis nanopositioning systems designed to be easily integrated into existing inverted microscopes, AFMs and other instruments where space is limited. The large, rectangular centre aperture allows the Nano-BioS to hold re-entrant sample holders for standard 3" slides and other similar sized biological samples such as Lab-Tek chamber slides.
 
Constructed from anodised aluminium, Nano-BioS systems are offered in three ranges of motion: 100 µm, 200 µm and 300 µm. If motion in all three axes is needed, the Nano-LPS Series is a similar sized microscopy stage which is also able to move in the Z-axis for focusing operations.
 
The Nano-BioS Series stages include internal position sensors with proprietary PicoQ® technology to provide absolute, repeatable position measurement and picometre resolution under closed loop feedback control.

Nano-PDQ

Ideal for applications in Fast Multi-Axis Scanning, Optical Trap Calibration and Particle Tracking

The Nano-PDQ Series are high speed multi-axis precision nanopositioning systems offering a compact footprint with a large centre aperture.
 
The Nano-PDQ Series are ideal for applications that demand high scan rates or large load capacities as they fast performance and a resonant frequency greater than 2 kHz. When used with the Nano-Drive®85 controller (model numbers with the HS suffix) step response times down to 2 milliseconds are achievable, nearly 10 times the speed of comparable systems!
 
The Nano-PDQ Series features parallel, uncoupled motion in up to three axes and fully integrated position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology to provide absolute, repeatable position measurement and picometre accuracy under closed loop control.
 
Users of inverted research microscopes may do well to consider the low-profile Nano-LPQ. It has similar 3-axis high-speed positioning performance, but is sized to be more convenient to use.

Nano-T

Ideal for applications in Multi-Axis Alignment, Fluorescence Imaging, Closed-loop AFM Scanning, and Super Resolution Microscopy

The Nano-T Series are economical, multi-axis nanopositioning systems which are available in a variety of configurations. They offer up to 200 microns range of motion in X and Y, and up to 50 microns in Z, while the large centre aperture accomodates lenses and probes without compromising performance.
 
The Nano-T Series is well suited to applications in which precise positioning is required but the overall stage height is not critical. If extremely low profile systems are required, both the Nano-Bio2 and the Nano-LP Series should be considered.

Nano-SPM200

Ideal for applications in AFM, NSOM, SPM, and Nanofabrication

The Nano-SPM200 is a compact two axis (XY) nanopositioning system constructed from aluminium. Internal position sensors combined with the closed loop Nano-Drive controller provide sub-nanometre positioning resolution and long term stability.
 
The Nano-SPM200 offers independent flexure guided motion for each axis, providing mechanical isolation and ensuring minimum cross-talk between axes. This makes it ideal for integration into scanning probe microscopy systems using the MadPLL® system. Samples can be securely mounted in any location on the flat top surface.
