Nano-METZ

Ideal for applications in High-speed and High-resolution positioning, Metrology, AFM and SPM

The Nano-METZ is a compact Z-axis nanopositioning system designed for high speed scanning and ultra-low noise characteristics for demanding AFM and metrology applications. The innovative design of the Nano- METZ coupled with our proprietary PicoQ® sensor technology yields a resonant frequency of 14.5 kHz and a noise floor of 400 fm/Hzv. The result: unparalled speed, response and precision for the most demanding and discerning metrology applications. Related products include the Nano-MET2, Nano-MET3, Nano- MET10 and Nano-MET20 nanopositioning systems.

Nano-HSZ

Ideal for applications in High-speed and High-resolution positioning, Metrology and Interferometry

The Nano-HSZ is a high-speed single Z-axis precision nanopositioning system offering absolute, repeatable position measurement with picometre accuracy under closed loop control using the proprietary PicoQ® technology.
 
The Nano-HSZ offers a compact footprint, ultra low noise characteristics and a resonant frequency greater than 7 kHz. These characteristics make it ideal for applications that require noise floors less than 10 picometres and/or high-speed performance. With the step response time of the Nano-HSZ set to less than 1 millisecond for extremely high speed applications, scan frequencies up to 500 Hz can be achieved.

Nano-MZ

Ideal for applications in High-resolution Z-axis alignment, AFM and Metrology

The Nano-MZ is a compact Z-axis nanopositioning system with a small centre aperture designed to be easily integrated into existing instrumentation where space is restricted. Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement with picometre accuracy under closed loop control.
 
A related model, the Nano-M3Z, includes additional tip & tilt motions (θX , θ​Y) to the linear motion in the Z-axis. The Nano-MZ can also be used as a building block with other systems to form complex nanopositioning assemblies with multi-axis motion - see also the Nano-M350 and the Nano-Man5.

The Nano-Z Series are single Z-axis nanopositioning systems with a low profile design, allowing it to be easily retrofitted into existing instrumentation where space is restricted. With a large center aperture, the Nano-Z Series is ideal for confocal imaging and microscopy applications that require long range travel and fast, repeatable positioning.
 
Used with the high output power Nano-Drive®85, the Nano-Z Series is capable of a 3-4 ms step response - ideal for high-speed, high-precision applications.
 
Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement with picometre accuracy under closed loop control.
 
Z Series stage dimensions can be customised to fit into OEM applications.

Nano-Z50HS Series

Ideal for applications in Optical Microscopy and High-speed confocal imaging. Up to 150 Hz sine wave motion

The Nano-Z50HS is a single axis (Z-axis) nanopositioning system designed to move a microscopy sample up to 50 microns at the fastest possible positioning speeds. The Nano-Z50HS is derived from the 3-axis, high speed, Nano-LPQ nanopositioning system but contains only the Z-axis piezo mechanisms. The resulting compact size allows the Nano-Z50HS to easily retrofit onto existing microscopes or fit into custom experimental set-ups. Since the only moving part is the integated sample holder, moving mass is minimised.
 
Sample holders for slides, coverslips, and petri dishes are available and custom sample holders can also be provided. Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement with picometre resolution under closed loop control.

Nano-Z500

Ideal for applications in Nano-indenting, Nanomanipulation and Nano-ergonometry

The Nano-Z500 is a long-range, Z-axis nanopositioner specifically designed to hold multiwell plates used in biomedical research. High-throughput single cell fluorescence microscopy and high speed, high resolution confocal imaging can be accomplished while simultaneously adjusting the Z-axis position to remove the effects of multiwell plate irregularities.
 
The Nano-Z500 has true flexure guided motion and contains internal position sensing. Utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology, the position sensors provide absolute, repeatable position measurement for closed loop control with a resolution of better than 1 nm over the full 500 micron travel range. In addition to high-resolution spatial imaging, the Nano-Z500 has a 15 ms step response allowing entire Z-section acquisitions to be achieved with minimal photo bleaching.

The Nano-CZ200 is a compact, long-range, single Z-axis precision nanopositioning system. Internal position sensors utilising proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement with sub-nanometre resolution under closed loop control. An optional center aperture up to 0.25 inches in diameter (not shown in the picture) can be provided for applications which require an optical pathway through the stage. The Nano-CZ200 can be operated in any orientation and is ideally suited for precision alignment of optical elements or other components with limited size and weight.
