Elliot Scientific is offering the Orbits Lightwave "Ethernal SlowLight"
ultra-narrow (200 Hz) linewidth 1064 nm and 1550 nm fibre lasers, in powers up to 200 mW, to OEMs and researchers in the UK and Ireland. Powers of 2 W, 5 W and 10 W are coming soon. The systems are housed in hermetically-sealed athermal modules that minimise frequency drift with respect to temperature and dispense with the need for energy consuming temperature control. This novel packaging technology also greatly reduces susceptibility to shock and vibration by five orders of magnitude.
CRAIC Technologies have started the year with two products designed to increase the microspectrophotometry capabilities of researchers and manufacturers. The new Thermal Stage enables the analysis of transmission, reflectance or fluorescence spectra of microscopic samples under conditions of extreme cold or heat. Operating in the UV-visible-NIR regions, samples can be cooled to as low as -196° or heated up to as high as 600 °C. The same system also allows for atmospheric control of the sample environment: a feature that will open up additional avenues of research in many fields such as biotechnology, materials science and nanotechnology.
IRphotonics has launched a new, small core High Power Multimode mid-infrared fibre for use in Medical, Industrial and R&D applications.
Elliot Scientific is now offering custom multi-mode and single mode pulsed and CW diode lasers, diode laser modules, diode laser bars, arrays and opto-mechanical sub-assemblies in wavelengths ranging from 635nm to greater than 2 microns from AKELA Laser. In addition to custom packages and sub-assemblies, AKELA also offer high power laser diodes in a wide array of standard packages in single emitter, multi-element module and bar configurations.
Elliot Scientific has recently introduced a new version of the E3500 computer-controlled multiple-trap optical tweezer system with E4100 QPD (Quadrant Photo Detector) force measurement facility. The system utilises two fibre-coupled lasers: one for trapping and the other for the probe beam.
Elliot Scientific starts the New Year with the release of two new lasers and the launch of a much expanded optics catalogue from Femtolasers of Vienna for customers in the UK and Ireland.
Sperian has combined the timeless look of tortoise shell with spring hinges and wire core temples for the ultimate in stylish laser protection and comfort. Intricate metal accents not only enhance the design, but also create a highly protective laser-resistant frame for the 2010 New York range.
Elliot Scientific has been signed by Oxford Lasers to promote its Alpha table-top Laser Micromachining System. Cutting, milling and drilling operations are carried out by sophisticated yet easy to use software on metals, ceramics or polymers within a compact Class 1 enclosure.
Elliot Scientific is now taking advanced orders for a compact CW DPSS (Diode Pumped Solid State) laser that outputs in the UV at a wavelength of 266 nm.
The VERVE, from KLASTECH, was recently demonstrated by Elliot Scientific at October's Photonex '09 Exhibition in Stoneleigh, near Coventry.
Elliot Scientific is now offering the CRAIC Technologies QDI 2010 PV instrument designed to measure the transmission and reflectance of photovoltaic cells of various types, be they traditional crystalline silicon, thin film or components thereof. Even protective glass and concentrator modules can be analyzed.
Elliot Scientific is now offering an exciting new lightweight portable benchtop vibration isolation system from Kinetic Systems. Designed for labs and Class 100 cleanrooms, the 18kg Ergonomic Low-Profile-Format (ELpF) can be easily moved on the benchtop, even with a load and in float! Its unique, self-contained design provides this without causing damage to the vibration isolators.
Elliot Scientific can help laser users in the UK and Ireland find the answer the question "What type of eyewear do I need?" within the new 2009 Sperian Laser Safety Catalogue.
The new and enlarged Elliot Scientific Products & Capabilities Brochure for
2009 is now available. The 16-page PDF summarises all of the products
available from Elliot Scientific's different divisions: Lasers, Components
and Instrumentation , Telecoms, and Cryogenics & Magnetics.
Elliot Scientific has put together several kits to enable the cost-effective and rapid construction of an optical table experiment from scratch. Each has as a variety of commonly used components, avoiding the need to list and purchase many items individually. The kits are also handy for researchers as a ready source of parts for expanding an existing set-up.
FEMTOLASERS have launched two new ultrafast 2-stage Ti:Sapphire multi-millijoule amplifier systems that generate pulses of unprecedented quality and stability with the reproducibility required for a wide range of demanding applications in science and technology. The V PRO and V PRO CEP systems are outstanding for two key reasons:
